Research Institute Gnomon Wise and Barcelona Center for International Affairs (CIDOB) hosted the "Study Trip in Georgia 2024" in the heart of Georgia's political landscape, Tbilisi, from October 2-4.
The visit included a highly engaging series of meetings between representatives of European research institutes, foundations, media, and NGOs on the one hand, and Georgian NGOs, foundations operating in Georgia, the President, the diplomatic corps, political party leaders, researchers, and journalists.
The event's purpose was for Western colleagues to express once again their solidarity and support for Georgia's democratic and European future and European values; in the lead-up to the elections, it also provided them with an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges the country faces on this path and familiarize themselves with Georgia's political landscape.
